Evolved Gorillas is a one-person software studio. Every product here — iOS apps headed for the App Store, machine-learning systems built end to end — was researched, designed, engineered and shipped by one builder. No handoffs. No committees. Just work that runs.
One iOS app live on the App Store and another close behind, plus three machine-learning case studies with full write-ups. Every card opens a deep dive.
An educational statistics app for Mega Millions, Powerball and NY Lotto — eleven analysis methods, a 2D and 3D heatmap, and a chi-square fairness check, all computed on-device. No predictions, no tracking, fully offline.
A complete daily prayer companion: prayer times worldwide with 16 calculation methods, a live Qibla compass, all 114 surahs with audio recitation, and an AI assistant. Free, no ads, no account required.
A custom CNN that reads four emotions from 48×48 grayscale faces — and beats VGG16, ResNet, and EfficientNet by matching model complexity to the data instead of the leaderboard.
Four generations of recommender on 65K Amazon Electronics ratings — from popularity to matrix factorization. Tuned SVD wins, and stays personalized exactly where KNN breaks on sparse data.
Exploratory analysis of 1,898 NYC food-delivery orders, turned into decisions a business can act on: which restaurants earn the promo, where delivery lags, and where the revenue really comes from.
I'm Fuad Ahmadov — the one gorilla behind Evolved Gorillas. I've spent 10+ years across the software development lifecycle, the last four in production data engineering — building and running large-scale data pipelines that had to work every day, at scale, for real users.
That's a strong place to build machine learning from, because a lot of ML in practice is data engineering — the pipelines, the cleaning, the scale. On a foundation of Applied Mathematics (B.S.) and IT Management (MBA), I completed the MIT Applied AI & Data Science program and built the case studies you see here: deep learning, recommender systems, and analysis end to end.
Above all, I love building — it's what I do, with work or without. The apps on this page go from idea to the App Store with one person doing the design, the code, and the release — which keeps me honest about what production actually takes.
Open to machine learning and data science roles.
Hiring for ML or data science? Curious about the apps? Either way, I'd love to hear from you.
